Tableau Bar Bistro is launching its new Casse-Croûte Fête Small Bites menu, and will be celebrating this public event at their Coal Harbour restaurant on Tuesday, October 2nd from 4-5 pm.
I’ll be joining in the festivities by taking part in the Oyster Shucking Battle-Royale, against Urban Rush’s Fiona Forbes, Man About Town Fred Lee, and Classic Rock 101’s Bro Jake. As I’ve never shucked an oyster before (well, at least successfully), here is your chance to see how quickly I can learn under pressure when my competitive side comes out, and hopefully have supporters cheer me on at the same time. Or, if you just want a good laugh, I won’t hold it against you. Who knows? I may just surprise everyone. 
Judging will be done by Chef MAC and BC Lions’ star player Angus Reid.
Besides getting in some good entertainment for the week, you’ll have the chance to enjoy all-you-can-slurp Oysters, award winning bacon caesars, and other bites from the Casse-Croûte menu.
