Vancouver restaurants 2011

Happy New Year!

It is now 2011 and I wish everyone a great year ahead, filled with fun and fantastic food!  My year has been rife with many exciting adventures, and I’m hoping to continue the trend in the coming decade.

Now for my monthly wrap up of the most searched restaurants in Vancouver in the month of December 2010!

And here is the list (drum roll, please):

  1. West Restaurant
  2. Coast
  3. Earls
  4. C Restaurant (review coming shortly!)
  5. Top of Vancouver Revolving Restaurant
  6. White Spot
  7. Provence
  8. CinCin
  9. Joe Fortes
  10. Stone Grill
  11. Shabusen
  12. Market (at the Shangri La)
  13. Raincity Grill
  14. Society
  15. The Eatery
  16. Le Crocodile
  17. Lupo
  18. Tapastree
  19. Stephos
  20. Poor Italian

This month, there seem to be quite a few new entrants in this list, including The Eatery (a unique Japanese restaurant with a zillion different rolls, located on 4th Ave in Kits), Stephos (a Greek restaurant which is always lined up out the door for what seems like miles), Shabusen (a local chain with sushi and charcoal grills), Stone Grill (along False Creek), and Joe Fortes (a Vancouver classic, which had an anniversary party last month).

Although Tapastree is now closed (hopefully just for a location change – I am very sad about this one), it still made the list.

Then we have the Earls chain which seems to be ever present, along with White Spot (special sauce, anyone)?

The other thing I’ve noticed is that the amount of Vancouver restaurants I’ve reviewed in the top 20 sought out places has decreased this month.  So one thing I know for sure is that I’ll need to continue to dine out more in the coming year!

Happy New Year, everyone! 🙂

Sigh Earls in the top?? That makes me sad considering how many other much better restaurants there are out there!
